Born in Troy, Ohio Nancy graduated from Troy High School and then attended Miami University in Oxford, OH and graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor’s degree in education. She taught for a total of 10 years, beginning in Piqua, Ohio and then Columbus, OH.
Nancy spent the rest of her life devoted to her family and community. She served as PTA president for High Point Elementary, Vocal Music Booster for Gahanna Lincoln High School, Miami University’s EAP Advisory Council, and was an officer of the local Child Conservation League.
A life-long learner and explorer, Nancy found joy in nature from traveling to the National Parks and Europe to gardening in her own back yard. Her interests were many including reading, tennis, and crafts such as sewing, knitting and beading; many of which she did alongside some of her best friends in their “Stitching Group” for more than 30 years.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be remembered for her never-ending curiosity and outpouring of love, her cherry pies, warm gatherings with family and friends, and keeping the “magic house”.
She is survived by her loving husband John, and her beloved daughters Katherine Liebersbach and Sarah Liebersbach Marton (Sam), granddaughters Ruby and Vera, granddog Marley, and countless relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at SCHOEDINGER MARGARUM NORTHEAST on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
