Michael Burton Vonderau, 72, of Reynoldsburg, passed away on August 6, 2022. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 28, 1950 to Raoul and Dortha Vonderau. Mike graduated from Strongsville High School in 1969. While there, he held multiple records in track and field events.
Throughout his life Mike was an avid outdoorsman and an accomplished home improvement practitioner. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, hunting, gardening, woodworking, vehicle repair and home renovation, especially while doing them with his family. He tirelessly served his community in the electric power management field for The Illuminating Company in the Cleveland area for 43 years. After retirement he moved to the Columbus area to be with his family.
Mike will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Karen (nee Lipinski); his sons Tony (Olivia) and Braden (Chloe); his grandchildren Grayson, Carrick and Saoirse; sister Gail (Tony) Bechtold and brother Ray (Sharon).
His family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 11am-1pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH. A funeral service will immediately follow.
