Mark Allen Wilson, 66, of Blacklick, was surrounded by his loving and devoted family as he passed away on July 29, 2022 from a long and valiant fight with cancer. He was born on July 4, 1956 to Gene R. and Donna (Sesler) Wilson of London, Ohio.
Mark grew up in London, where he made many lifelong friends. He was a proud and devoted father to his 2 daughters, Carrie Scheetz of Coshocton and Cathy (Ryan) List, of Circleville, whom he watched and coached in their soccer careers for many years with great pride.
In 1990, Mark married his wife, Kathy with whom he shared many adventures over the last 31 years including their yearly summer trip to Michigan where they enjoyed time on the lake with longtime friends.
He worked many years for The Lazarus Company, and then spent 30 years working for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where he eventually retired from his position as Manager of General Trades in April 2019.
In his free time, Mark enjoyed fishing, golfing and hiking in the National Parks. He loved to spend time cooking for his family and friends on his smoker, and loved football parties with the usual suspects. Mark loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Madyson, Mia, Finley List, and Lucas Scheetz.
He will be remembered for his kindness, wit, smile and sense of humor.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Gene Wilson.
Mark will be greatly missed by his loving wife Kathy Mack; children, Carrie Scheetsz of Coshocton, Ohio and Cathy (Ryan) List of Circleville; mother, Donna Wilson of London; grandchildren Madyson, Mia and Finley List, Lucas Scheetz; sister, Lynne Eades of Columbus; extended family members, nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Mark, lifelong and cherished friends; and his beloved dogs, Buster and Stella.
A Celebration of Life will be held by friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory may be made to Franklin County Dog Shelter.
