John Hackett, age 66 of New Albany, passed away on May 8, 2024 after a long illness.
He was born May 25, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio. John is survived by his loving wife Julie (Poulin), his son A.J. Hackett (Courtney), brother Michael Hackett and many other friends and family members. John was a teacher and coach for 35 years. He loved spending time with family and enjoyed cars, and all types of sports especially skiing. Once retired, John worked hard to become a Ski Patrol at Mad River Mountain. Friends may gather at Schoedinger Northeast Funeral Home, on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Funeral service will be held from 5 to 5:30 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m.
