Jerry was my RCIA sponsor for Saint Mary's Catholic Church in 1990. I am so truly grateful for the opportunity to share this with him and Beverly as well. They were a joy to spend time with and the memories they gave me will forever be in my heart! My heart goes out to his family and friends. 🙏♥️

My heartfelt condolences to Mr. Davidson’s wife, family and friends. 
He was my art teacher at Eastmoor. He always had a smile and words of encouragement for all his students. He also taught my older brother Buddy who went on to be an art teacher at Eastmoor. He was a teacher, mentor, colleague and friend.

I met Gerry around 2011 at a Men's Retreat.  Our connection was instantaneous.  His kindness and fatherly guidance was so amazing.  I left Columbus in 2014 and only kept in touch with him sporadically from that point forward.  However, he was on my prayer list continually.  Thank you, Gerry, for all that you did for me.  May you rest in peace and rise in glory.

My condolences to Jerry’s family. I was sorry to learn of Jerry’s passing. I’ve known Jerry and Barb for a number of years through mutual friends and loved when the occasion would come up when I’d get to see them both.   Rest in peace Jerry—you’ll be missed.

Barb and family,  so many wonderful memories of Jerry.  Such a kind mannered person and so blessed to get to know both Jerry and you Barb through R.C.I.A. back in the late eighties at Saint Mary Church.  This was the beginning of a long friendship. So many memories of seeing you two throughout the years, church, art walks , where Jerry displayed his art and the home visits from Jerry as did so many wonderful paintings of our home and our children’s homes.  We will miss his smile and his talks. May the Lord keep you and your family in his care and give you strength knowing how much Jerry was loved throughout our community.

Jerry Davidson was my art teacher at Eastmoor HS from 1972-1975. He changed my life. He recognized a talent in me that I didn’t recognize in myself. Thanks to him I went to CCAD, graduated with my BFA , eventually earning my Masters in Art Ed and taught high school art for 23 years. Art has played a major part in my life thanks to Jerry. I  continue to work and teach out of my ceramic studio in Florida. I am so thankful that he was a part of my young life.  RIP Jerry

Mr.Davidson was my art teacher at Eastmoor High school in the late 1980’s.  I learned so much from him.  I went on to get my Degree in Art Education from the Ohio State University. I worked with Columbus City schools for a while and I now teach watercolor to adults ,and I am an assistant at the New Fran Ryan center for the arts in Old Towne East.    He was always so encouraging and he loved art,  and instructing his students.  He will be missed.  My deepest condolences to his friends and Family.  Rest well Mr. Davidson, until we meet again.

While many in Lancaster knew Jerry thru his art, I will always treasure the many RCIA sessions we shared with Sister carol anne Spencer.  Getting to know the man behind the artwork was special for me. And I have a few pieces of his art to remember him by.  Prayers for you and family during this difficult time.  He will be remembered and he will be missed
