Donna Wengert Glenn, age 88 was born August 15, 1934, to Doyle and Ruth (King) Wengert of Blacklick, Ohio and passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Sage Park Assisted Living and Memory Care surrounded by family. Donna was a longtime resident of Jefferson Township, Blacklick, Ohio and was also known as “Donna Faye”, “Faye”, or “Aunt Donna”.
Donna grew up in Blacklick and was a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, Class of 1952. She worked at Commercial Motor Freight until its closing, and then retired from Jefferson Township where she served as the Cemetery Sexton and as Clerical Support for the City of Reynoldsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Carl R. Glenn; parents, Doyle and Ruth Wengert; brother and sister in law, Allen and Eleanor Wengert; brother, Arnold Wengert, niece/nephew Dian and Rich Huguenard; and niece, Brenda Barnhart.
Survived by brother, Roger Wengert, Satellite Beach, Florida; Harriet Wengert, Blacklick, Ohio; eight nieces and nephews and multiple great nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly; special childhood friend, Ruth Yocke, and devoted cousin, Linda King Watson.
Donna enjoyed time spent with the little ones of the family, being an inspiration to her grown nieces and nephews and shopping for a bargain!
Friends may call 5-7 pm, Monday, August 22, 2022 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Havens Corners Church, 6696 Havens Corners Road, Blacklick, Ohio 43004 with visiting from 12-1pm; Rev. Robert Williams and Rev. Ronald Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Cemetery, Blacklick, Ohio. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice or Havens Corners Church, 6696 Havens Corners Road, Blacklick, Ohio 43004 in Donna’s memory.
