Betty Lou was born April 15, 1931, in Fairmont, West Virginia as a coal miner’s daughter, and was very proud of her Mountaineer heritage. She was a Drum-Major in high school leading the Mannington “Big Green” Band. She was “Miss Mannington” and competed in the Miss West Virginia Beauty Pageant where she achieved runner-up recognition. She married her high school sweetheart, Silvio Roberty, and the two built their lives and family together in Penn Hills, PA. She enjoyed cooking and maintaining a loving home where her family could gather.
Betty Lou is preceded in death by her husband, Silvio; her parents, Walter and Audra (Moore) Glover; her siblings, Donald Glover, Richard “Ipp” Glover, and Freda “Pooch” (Glover) Murtaugh; and her granddaughter, Taylor Roberty (Timothy).
She is survived by her two sons, Randal (Susan) Roberty and Timothy Roberty; grandchildren, Randal (April) Roberty, Jamie (Bryan) Roberty, Domenic (Genesis) Roberty, and Gianna Roberty; and great-grandsons, Aiden and Gavin Roberty (Randal and April).
