Barb, aka Aunt Barb, was a devoted Aunt who leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and unmatched positive energy that touched her family and extended family deeply. She was a pillar of love and support, always ready to open her home and her heart to family members striving to build better lives. She generously welcomed family into her home offering them a place to stay as they established their careers or pursued higher education. Her quiet acts of kindness and encouragement eased many burdens, especially for those balancing education and family responsibilities. Barb’s selfless dedication to helping others success will forever be remembered as a testament to her extraordinary compassion and generosity.
Barb had an extensive group of dear friends who shared her love of theater, travel, euchre, golf, poker, Jazz Arts, Pirates, Blue Jackets and of course the beloved Steelers. Barb traveled the world, experiencing everything the world had to offer.
She loved and cherished her niece and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She poured her heart into creating lasting memories with them through meaningful time together and unmatched travels. Her unwavering dedication to enriching their lives with love, laughter, and adventure will be remembered as a testament to her generous spirit. Barb’s impact will live on in our hearts. Barbara was the first female Business Manager in the state of Ohio within public education. Starting her career as Assistant Business Manager in 1980 in the Shaker Heights School district, she quickly grew to be the Business Manager and went on to serve in this role in the Twinsburg, Bexley, and Pickerington School Districts. At the time of her retirement, she was the longest tenured Business Manager within public education in the state of Ohio. She might still be the longest tenured female Business Manager in the state of Ohio, but we could not confirm this with a public records search. Given Barb’s stickler for the rules (i.e. Ms. Hoyle), we know she would not want us stating this as fact without it being 100% accurate.
Family and Friends sincerely feel Blessed to have been part of her incredible life.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made to Tunnel to Towers or the Columbus Humane Society in Barb's memory.
