Anne L. Hennis, age 94, died peacefully at Paramount of Polaris Senior Living on November 25, 2022. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Anne was born in Columbus OH at St. Ann’s Hospital on January 5, 1928. She graduated from Ashville High School where she was a cheerleader, band member, and performed in her high school plays. She married John L. Hennis (deceased) following high school and they had 4 children. She was a kind, caring person who faced many challenges in life (and there were many) with courage and dignity. Anne retired from Western Electric (Lucent, Nokia) having made many friends and was a member of The Pioneers.
Anne was very active socially and enjoyed golf, bowling in leagues at Gahanna Lanes, square and round dancing with the Bucks and Does as well as being a member of Bill Howard's ballroom dancing group. She travelled throughout the United States, Mexico, Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Greek Islands, and Western Europe with the Gahanna Seniors all. In later years she enjoyed Wii bowling leagues at The Gahanna Senior Center.
Anyone who knew Anne knew she was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan, including TBDBITL. She was known to assist the field goal kicker from the couch. She also loved The Browns and was seen a couple of times in The Dawg Pound. She adored LeBron James and followed him wherever he played.
Anne instilled the importance of family, hard work and perseverance in her children.
