Alice Wood

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul E. Schneider, husband Wendell W. Wood, and brothers John T Kindler and Wilber L Kindler.

She is survived by daughter Sharon (Don) Richards of Westerville, OH, and son Craig (Barbara) Schneider of Centerburg, OH; granddaughter Kim (David) Donald, grandsons, Brad (Tanya) Bennett, Clint (Leslie) Schneider, Conan (Amy) Schneider, Cort (Jennifer) Schneider, Bryan Bennett; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Alice was an avid gardener, surrounding herself with flowers including her prized third generation peony bushes. She loved reading, bird-watching, traveling, and eating fried shrimp. She loved all cookies and looked forward to the Christmas baking season every year. Her sweet tooth was legendary, and her candy dishes were always full. But of all the things she loved her family was at the top. She cherished her time with them. She was truly the perfect grandmother and earned her title of “Gramma Alice the Great”. She was a kind and true friend with a loving and generous heart. To know her was to love her.

A visitation for Alice will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schoedinger Margarum Northeast, 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. A funeral service will occur the following day at 10:00 AM with interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery, 4585 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, New Albany, Ohio 43054.
