Vera S. Stewart

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 for Vera S. Stewart, 74, of GA Mt, who passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Rev. Robbie Edwards will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

Mrs. Stewart graduated from Etowah High School in 1958. She retired as Configuration Management Specialist at the Red Stone Arsenal in the Tow Missile Project Office after 43 years of employment with Red Stone Arsenal. She was married on Christmas Eve in 1958 and was married for 56 years. She loved her home on the Bluff of Georgia Mountain. She loved the spring and fall, and loved watching the animals, especially the foxes and deer. She really loved watching the Harvest Moon. Her hobbies included golf and all sports in general.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband of 56 years, C. Lee Stewart; sons, Barry Stewart, Charlie and Teresa Stewart, and Davis and Malinda Stewart; grandchildren, Hannah, Haley, Tori and Brandon; and great-grandchild, Bentley.

Special thanks to all of the staff at Shepherd’s Cove, especially, Teresa.

The family will accept friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
