Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Mr. Tommy F. Livingston, age 77, of Gadsden, who passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010. Ministers Norman Flynn and Blake Jones will officiate with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mr. Livingston was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was truly one of a kind and the pillar of his family. He was a member of the church of Christ for 42 years and attended Rainbow and North Gadsden church of Christ. He served his country in the United States Navy and retired from Goodyear after 42 years of employment. Mr. Livingston loved working in his yard, Alabama Football and the Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Edna Livingston; infant daughters, Valerie Jeanette and Marie Annette Livingston; and brothers, Jerry and Jim Livingston.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Emmalene Whitworth Livingston; children, Melissa Ann (Ron) Patterson, Pamela Jarbo and Steve (Melanie) Livingston; grandchildren, Dawn (Heath) Blair, Jaime (Jimmy) Fazekas, Blake Croy, Matt (Christi) Croy, Collin Jarbo, Wesley, Chase and Claire Livingston and Bethany Hiett; great grandchildren, Lauren, Kyle and Dylan Blair and Megan, Madison and Andrew Fazekas; brothers, Jack (Arlene) Livingston, Mickey (Linda) Livingston and Phil (Eve) Livingston; sisters, Ann (David) Jackson and Jan O’Malley; as well as special pet, Ginger.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of North Gadsden and Rainbow church of Christ.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Riverview Regional ER, especially, ER Nurse, Mr. Norton.
A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler.
