Randy Marvin Johnson, age 68, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. The family will have a private family service. Burial will be at Union Church Cemetery. Collier Butler will direct services.
Randy grew up in Centre, AL and moved to Gadsden in 1967. He had worked over 30 years in the radio broadcast industry with both WGAD and Q104. He is remembered to most by his on air name, "Chris Eric Stevens". In 2010, Randy went into business repairing clocks. Randy had a keen sense of humor and quick wit. He was a talented piano player and loved playing the baby grand. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan. He was devoted to his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Vera Johnson and father Lonnie Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol Johnson; special cousin Billy Hale; and many friends from WGAD and Q104.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made yo St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
