Nancy Joyce Skelton

Nancy Joyce Skelton, age 84, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. A visitation for Nancy will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 7400 Tabor Road, Gadsden, AL 35904. Dewayne Boyd and Teresa Chapman will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Skelton was of the Christian faith. She was a dedicated family woman. Her faith and strength were unwavering. She enjoyed shopping, social media, and cooking. Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Telo and Nena Mae Fox; and husband, Oscar Chester Edwards.

Nancy is survived by her son, Chester (Karen) Edwards; sisters, Mildred Edwards and Janeal Elliot; grandchildren, Crystal (Danieka) Allen, Miranda (Brandon) Fugatt, and Brittney Edwards; great grandchildren, Alissa (Micah), Brandon (Kristin), Taryn, Brayden, Mason, Ryan, Ada Mae, and Jaxton; and great-great grandchildren, Baylor and Ivy.

Pallbearers will be Abram Pollard, Brayden Smallwood, Mason Fugatt, Brandon Fugatt, Colman Madrie, Ean Roulane, and Jason Retzer.
