was born on March 21, 1945 to L.G. Allenstein and Verna Sherren Allenstein in Gadsden, Alabama. He
attended Gadsden City Schools including Striplin Elementary, Gadsden Middle School and Gadsden High
School from which he graduated in the class of 1963. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from
Vanderbilt University in 1966 and his Juris Doctorate degree from Denver University School of Law in
1970. Myron served in the United States Army and attained the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He married the
love of his life, Gloria Gomez, on March 24th, 1973 in Colorado and moved back to Gadsden with her to
open his law practice in 1973. He practiced law for 49 years. He practiced the last 21 of those years with
his daughter as his law partner.Myron was a founding member and Elder of Church of the Holy Spirit in Attalla where he has served faithfully and joyfully for over 40 years. His favorite activities at church included Vacation Bible School, his many mission trips, and watching the church youth basketball team, The Holy Spirit Fire. He faithfully mentored 13 young men on a regular basis and touched countless lives during his lifetime. He was a man on fire for God and loved to introduce people to his Savior. Myron was preceded in death by his parents L.G. Allenstein and Verna Allenstein, his daughter Christie
Allenstein Lynn, and his sister Rhea Allenstein Hoppes. Myron is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 49 years, Gloria Allenstein, his son Solomon Allenstein (Robin) and their son Chris Hill and his children Camden and Lawson, his daughter Rose Marie Allenstein (Mark Perkins) and their children William, Cecilia, Daniel and David Perkins, his daughter Angelica Allenstein Cooper (Carlos) and her children Adelina, Adrian, and Alejandro, grand-daughter Britney Pugh, grandson Anthony Otto (Jessica) and their children Derek and Liam, nieces Leah Hoppes (Shawn Whitfield) and Thea Scheblo (David) and their son Nate and numerous relatives from Gloria's family in Colorado who he loved dearly, including Ophelia Martinez. Visitation will be held on Monday June 13th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14th at 11:00am at The Tabernacle Church. Rev. Tommy Marshall will officiate. Myron will be laid to rest in Forrest Cemetery. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct
services. Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Guatemala Mission
Fund at 141 S. 9th St., Gadsden, AL 35901. Pallbearers are William Perkins, Mark Perkins, Solomon
Allenstein, Adrian Fernandez, Emanual Ray, and Daniel Andres. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles C.
Hart, Dr. Robert Bass, Judge Roy Moore, Rev. J. Ben Killingsworth, Rev. Harold Kimble, Pastor BenyahudaAdidala, Pastor Adam Gomez, Mike Garmon, Bert Miller, Amos Cash, Mark Stringfellow, Jimmie Garner, Fred Ballejos, and Mike Rosenberg. Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to the Guatemala Mission Fund at 141 S. 9th St., Gadsden, AL 35901. Myron was scheduled to take a team on another mission trip to Guatemala on Saturday, June 18th. A future trip will be held in his memory.
