Michelle Garbe Allred, 61 went to her heavenly home on September 1st, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time she passed. It would be wrong to say that Michelle lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. Michelle stayed strong, just because she is no longer here, doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
She was born to Jim and Carolyn Garbe on April 4, 1962 in Gadsden Alabama. Michelle graduated from Southside High School 1980. She loved to dance and twirl baton growing up and instilled her passion down to her daughter and granddaughters. She was her sons biggest cheerleader, she never missed a sporting event, heels and all. She found her person she was going to spend her forever with, Jerry Allred. They got married on April 7th, 2022, it was an intimate ceremony just with them in Las Vegas. The Ceremony was picture perfect and the backdrop was beautiful canyons.
Michelle had many titles: daughter, wife, mother, and GiGi. She always put her family before herself. Michelle always made sure everyone was taken care of, her love language was giving. Her proudest title was GiGi and adored her three grandchildren. She was a business owner: I-20 Bingo, Honey Hole- Jacksonville Fl, University Blvd Bingo-Jacksonville Fl, Gadsden Bingo Center Southern Star Entertainment, Bama Bingo, and Lucky’s Automotive Sales. Each of her businesses helped benefit multiple charities over the years. Her staff was like family to her.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She was the kindest, most loving person we have ever known. She mothered everyone, so much so that friends would often call her mom. She took this as a compliment and never shied away from being there for others who needed support in one way or another. She also had many friends and was well-loved member of the community.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Jerry Allred; mother, Carolyn Garbe; children, Blake Erwin (Angela), Tyler Erwin, and Victoria Hollar (Zac); Step- Daughter, Emma Allred; grandchildren, William Erwin (8), Zoe Hollar (7), and Margaret Hollar (2).
