Funeral services will be Thursday, October 4th, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Bethel United Baptist Church for John F. “Hot-Rod” Hollingsworth, 70, of Gadsden, who passed away Monday, October 1st, 2018. The Rev. Ernest Campbell will officiate. Interment will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services.
John is preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Sarah Hollingsworth.
Survivors include his wife, Bea Hollingsworth; children, Barry McDonnell, Scott McDonnell, John Hollingsworth, Jr., Michael Roberts, Juanita Hollingsworth; step-children, Audra Williams, Robert Hill, Matthew Hollis; sister, Janice (Ray) Christopher; brother, Tim (Patsy) Hollingsworth; sisters-in-law, Lisa Burns, Lauren Shelnutt; brother-in-law, Kenneth Burnham; 23 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be The In Country Vietnam Veterans.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Bethel United Baptist Church.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Lisa Burns, Alacare Hospice, Comfort Keepers, and The In Country Vietnam Veterans.
The family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for visitation.
