Funeral service for Jeanette Staples, 86, Gadsden, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, directing.

Jeanette passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.

She was retired from Cleaner Hanger Company.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mamie Hammond; brother,

Bill Hammond; and sisters, Joyce Flemming, Mamie Johnson and Josephine Richards.

She is survived by her son, Walt Staples and his wife, Pat; grandchildren, Trey (Heather) Staples, Christopher Staples and Justin (Candelaria) Staples; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Aubrey Ann Staples; brothers, Joseph (Faye) Hammond, Pat (Peggy) Hammond and Lamar Hammond; sisters, Patsy Stephens, Nancy (Jerry) Vice and Julia Scott; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ray and Doris Milam.

Pallbearers will be Lee Scott, Craig Snead, Tim Porter, Mark Winn, Pat Brown, Brian Anderson, Mike Richards, Allen Stokes, Zack Johnson, Greg Johnson and Jeff Johnson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all who loved Mother.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
