Jane Ellen Atkinson Robertson

Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Ellen Atkinson Robertson, age 84 of Gadsden, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Ruland will officiate. Burial will be held Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. Robertson was born in Shelby County, Alabama, and was a long-time resident of Etowah County. She was loved by everyone and enjoyed spending time with her church family at Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cary and Mable Atkinson; and brother, Jerry Atkinson.

Mrs. Robertson is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Robertson; daughters, Susan Robertson and Nancy (David) Hanks; brother, Tom Atkinson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

The Robertson family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tom Corley and staff, Amedysis Hospice, and Laura Pickle.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church.
