Hannah Joy Berkey

passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, October 18, 2014

at Cross Creek Community Church, Hokes Bluff, Alabama.

Bro. Chris Walker will officiate.

Ms. Hannah Berkey was born to Donald and Naomi Ruth Berkey, May 24, 1990, in Goshen, IN.

Hannah graduated from Gadsden City High School in 2009 and received an AS in Accounting from Gadsden State Community College in 2014. She was pursuing her Bachelors in Accounting at Jacksonville State University. Hannah had been a combat medic in the U.S. Army Reserve since 2008 when she graduated training in the top tenth percentile. Hannah was an active member of Cross Creek Community Church where she volunteered with the children’s church. She was also involved in missions and service trips around the country. Hannah loved anything outdoors and was always up for a new challenge. She wore her heart on her sleeve and had a smile that could light up a room.

Survivors include her father and step-mother, Don and Juanita Berkey; Mother, Naomi Ruth Berkey; Brothers, Israel Berkey, Joseph Berkey, Josiah Berkey, Daniel Berkey , and Joshua Berkey; Sisters, Christy Berkey-Pickerill, Naomi Copeland, Lydia Berkey and Mary Berkey.
