Glenda K. Baker Fickle, age 70 of Rainbow City and formerly of Wichita Falls, TX, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2015. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, June 16, 2015 at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Pastor Doug Baker and Reverend TV Burroughs will officiate. The family will accept friends at Collier- Butler Funeral Home from 12-2:00 PM prior to the service. Collier- Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Glenda attended City Church of Rainbow City, AL. She enjoyed cooking, camping, and being outdoors while spending time with her family. Glenda had a great love for her family, and she cherished her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ogal Baker; and brother, Don Baker.
Survivors include her husband of 53 Years, Bobbie Joe Fickle; children, Debbie (Nathan Barnwell) Fickle, Tammy (Bob) George, Ami (Rickey) Hardy; grandchildren, Derek (Callie Minyard) George, Ryan George, Breanna Fickle, Jacob Hardy, Rickey (Sarah) Hardy; great grandchild, Sariyah Hardy; mother, Dorothy Baker; brothers, Terry (Kate) Baker, David (Judy) Baker; sister-in-law, Phyllis Baker; chosen sister, Teresa Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Derek George, Ryan George, Jacob Hardy, Bob George, Rickey Hardy, and Nathan Barnwell.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Jed Kaplan and his office staff, Dr. S. Sancheti, the physicians and staff at Clinical Urology Associates, Dr. Davenport, the thoughtful and caring staff of the 7th floor of Gadsden Regional Medical Center, Angela Walker, CRNP, Glenda’s church family for all of their inspiration and support, Jessie “Brownie” and Teresa Brown, Ron and Marion Dearman of Weatherford, TX, and all of the special friends and loving neighbors that have shared the family’s joys and sorrows.
