Funeral Service will be at noon on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Collier Butler Chapel for Florence Emma Beasley Hill, age 84, of Gadsden, Alabama. She passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Reverend Max Roden will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services.
Mrs. Hill was born in Montgomery, Alabama and had resided in Etowah County since she was three years old. She was a public accountant for 40 years. She was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church. Florence was affectionately called Pud by her family.
Florence is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bertis Hill. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Elizabeth Beasley, and the sister of the late John A. Beasley, G.B. Beasley, and Gaynell Stanley.
She is survived by sisters Elaine Jones, Rainbow City, Frances Turner, Chatom, and Freida Fields, Hendersonville, NC; brother, Roland Beasley, Camp Hill; step children Vincent and Carol Hill, Monte and Lisa Hill, Cathy Akers, all of Gadsden, and Charlie and Kelly Hill, Leander, TX; seven granddaughters; six great grandchildren; sister in law Rachel Abel, Gadsden; and a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
The family requests no flowers and would prefer memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
