Faye Green

Funeral Service will be held, Friday, November 24, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel at 11:30am, Reverend Randy Green will officiate.

Interment will follow at Green’s Family Cemetery in Southside.

Faye was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her family, working in her flower gardens, taking walks with Spud, and spending time on the creek. She loved to cook, take road trips, and go to the beach. She was a big Nascar, football, and baseball fan. Faye was born in Williams Community and moved to Southside in 1948. She retired from Gadsden State Community College. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and live on in our hearts forever. Faye was preceded in death by her parents Walker and Millie Green; and brother, Bob Green.

Faye is survived by her son Norris Rickey Noah; brothers, Carl (Marion Jane) Green, Redgie (Virginia) Green, Marion (Nancy) Green, and Wayne Green; sisters, Betty Riley and Susie (Paul) Stephenson; a host of nieces and nephews. Special nieces, nephews, and friends, Sammi Stephenson, Robin Hubbard, Dub Stephenson, Jolie and Wesley Roberts, Whitney (Scott) Cloer, Daphane (Russell) Uesry.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Special thanks to Dr. Uy, Dr. Manakill, staff at Gadsden Regional ER, and UAB 5th Floor CICU nurses.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, November 24, 2017 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home from 10:30-11:30am prior to service.
