Elizabeth Richter Wilkes

Elizabeth Richter Wilkes, 71, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her son’s home in Gaylesville, AL. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is in Charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Gadsden High and also attended Litchfield Middle School. She worked for over 40 years at American Apparel. Elizabeth was a very hard worker. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother and will be missed deeply by her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Randall Wilkes; parents, Herbert and Mary Hauk; son, Jerry Randall Wilkes; and brothers, Paul Hauk and Leon Tennyson.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Donny Wilkes, Terry (Pamela) Wilkes, and Michael (Tiana) Wilkes; daughter, Randi (Donald) Wilkes Holt; grandchildren, Donny Wilkes Jr., Jamie Wilkes, Michael Wilkes Jr., Kalyn Wilkes, Allison Wilkes, Trace Wilkes, Matthew Wilkes, and Joshua Wilkes.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice and Dr. Akisanya for their wonderful care.

The family will accept friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the funeral home.
