Billy Fred Freeman

Billy Fred Freeman, age 89, of Leesburg, Alabama passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Cagle Freeman; siblings: Jack, Jerome, Martha, Cleo and Clara. Billy is survived by his two sons, Marty Freeman and Brian Freeman (Marie). He is survived by his grandchildren: Andrew Freeman (Ashley), Jacob Freeman (Molly), Sara Freeman Wilson (Clay), Emily Freeman and Caleb Freeman. Billy is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Andi Marie and Vivian Claire Freeman and baby Tucker Scott who will be making his entrance in May. Billy retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 32 years. After graduating from Susan Moore High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Billy was a longtime member at Immanuel Baptist Church in Hokes Bluff where he served as a Deacon where he dearly loved his church family. His passions in life were his grandchildren, spending time in the outdoors fishing, water skiing, riding motorcycles, camping and recreational flying with his best friend Herman. Billy loved his family with all his heart and he will be dearly missed. The family would like to give a special thanks to McGuffey Healthcare and Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care and special attention.

A visitation for Billy will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Collier-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, 824 Rainbow Drive, P.O. Box 460, Gadsden, Alabama 35901. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
