Mrs. Talbot was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a friend to all. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.A.Talbot; parents John and Ida Cornelius; infant brothers Troy and Roy Cornelius; brother, G. D. Cornelius; sisters Barbara Brown, Ruth Bridges, and Evangeline Baker; brothers-in-law Troy Brown, Raymond Talbot, L.G. Eubanks and Jim Bridges; sons-in-law James Bullard and Rickey Norris and grandson-in-law, Robert Stephenson.
She is survived by her daughters Martrellia Bullard (Bill) Williams, Lorette (Clark) Ogle, and Kay Norris. She has seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren, sister Tommie Eubanks and sister-in-law Mary Gene Cornelius, several nieces and nephews.
She lived in Gadsden and Montevallo and currently in Albertville, Alabama. While living in Gadsden, she worshipped at the East Gadsden Church of Christ where she was a long-time member. She worshipped at the Montevallo Church of Christ in Montevallo and most recently she was a member at Crestview Church of Christ. In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed at Holy Name of Jesus Hospital for seven years. Cooking, sewing, crocheting and knitting were her hobbies. Many of the items she made were given to family and friends.
Pall bearers are Mike Brown, Gary Cornelius, Tony Simmons, Steve Bullard, Nicholas Witty, and Jonathan Smith.
Honorary pall bearers are Dr. Michael Simpson, Dr. Vlad Prielipean, Leon Davis, M.S. Barnes and all members of Montevallo Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 12th from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at Collier Funeral Home, Gadsden.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, July 13th at Collier Butler Funeral Home with Jerry Manasco officiating. Collier Butler Funeral Home will be directing.
