Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 12:30pm at Collier-Butler Chapel.
Rev. Mark Gidley will officiate.
Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery
Annette was a life-long resident of Etowah County. She was a member of the first class to graduate from Gaston High School in 1955, and also served as a cheerleader.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed making candy and working with her flowers. She loved spending time with her family and her cats. Annette retired from Cory Middle School where she worked in the lunchroom.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Pankey; grandson Dale Pankey;
parents, Felton and Mattie Nash; siblings, Mae (Tommy) Clanton, Emma (Noial) Reagan,
Christine (Wallace) Harp, and Ray (Joyce) Nash.
Annette is survived by her son, Larry Pankey; grandchildren, David (Suzanne) Pankey, Kim Mason,
and Kelly (Scott) Gossett;
great-grandchildren, Terrie (Ron) Crumbley, Kaci (Joseph) Abernathy, Tori (Stacy) Rewis,
Adam Pankey, Josh (Charity) Pankey, Erin Pankey, Tyler Pankey, Amanda (Dylan) McKee, Derik Gossett, and Allen Gossett.
14 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 2 nephews, Special niece, Carolyn Gibbs; special friends Shirley Tomlin, and Marlene Baker, and a host of extended family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Nurse, Nicole Vasser,
CNA, Julie Gibbs, and Social Worker, Penny Lambert.
Pallbearers will be James Gibbs, Jakob Gibbs, Tyler Pankey, Josh Pankey, Derik Gossett, and Allen Gossett.
The family will accept flowers.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, June 18, 2021 from 11:30 a.m.
until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
