Dot is a lovely and blessed loved one.  I look forward to seeing her again in glory.  May the Lord bless and comfort Cotton and her family at this time.

My memory of Dot is only through our church.  I can remember sitting with her in church and one day she told me I had a beautiful voice.  I still think she was just saying that to make me feel good but she always had the sweetest smile and was so willing to share it.  I will miss her.

Have known Dot since Grade School.  She was a great person.  She will long  be remembered for her passion to others and her family and friends.

Dot was like a 2nd mother to me growing up. I was probably at their house as often as ours as we wore a path between our back yards. She made the best peanut butter & syrup sandwiches (don’t tell my mom) and I remember her always having a really pretty glass pitcher of tea on her counter.  I admired her so much. She was a wonderful mom & friend and will be dearly missed. I will think of her every time I hear Elvis Presley. All my love and prayers to Cotton, Tonya, Vance & the entire family. She was a gem. 

Dot and Cotten were great friends of my parents (Bill and Genevieve Conner) and lived across the street from us on Kenwood Drive.  One Christmas my parents were at their house and Dot had made eggnog (with whiskey to 'cook' the eggs of course!).   I was only 16 but they let me have a taste. Dot later shared that eggnog recipe with me and I have been making it for friends and family for 45 years every Christmas.   People now refer to this as Nancy's famous eggnog.....but I have always credited Dot.  This Christmas I will offer a special toast in her honor.     Many condolences to her family. Dot was a sweet & loving person.  She always seemed to have a smile.  Shortly after she & Cotton married I saw her sitting on the ground at New Bloomfield at a picnic.  She & Cotton were sitting on the ground & her skirt was a spread in a circle around her & she was smiling & laughing with him & I thought she was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.  Little did I know, at that time, she was as beautiful on the inside as on the outside.  May your memories heal your hearts.


Dot and I had such a bond that she was more like a sister. We shared everyday about our day, our families and our faith. I will miss her. So much but it helps knowing that she is sheltered in the arms of Jesus.  

Have known Dot for years and she was always so sweet with that wonderful smile.  She and Cotton were neighbors in Herring and loved seeing her. She will be missed.  Condolences to the family.


Ahhh, so many memories from school days through watching our kids grow up.   Memories are what keeps  us  going.   Will see you on the other side.

Dot is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
