Dorathea was born on November 24, 1925 in California, MO the daughter of Frederick and Laura (Baade) Albertin who preceded her in death. In 1947, in Fulton, MO she was united in marriage to Wayne Stambaugh who preceded her in death in 2005. She was a faithful member of Word of Faith Church in Fulton, MO. In 1991, she retired from Fulton State Hospital as a music therapy aide. She had a “green thumb” and enjoyed spending time gardening and working in her flower beds. Dorathea adored spending time with her grandchildren and will be missed by her family.
Survivors include: one daughter, Laura Lewis (Kerry) of Columbia, MO; two sons, Raymond Stambaugh of Auxvasse, MO and Jonathan Stambaugh (Terri) of Wardsville, MO; four grandchildren, Jason Lewis, Kyle Lewis, Cecylee Lewis and Kaitlyn Barcizewski (Adam); one great-granddaughter, Hattie Barcizewski and one brother-in-law, Vernon Reuter. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Ducey and Johanna Reuter and one brother, Frederick Albertin.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Lystra DeLarber officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton, MO.
