Betty L. Moore 73, of New Bloomfield passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO. She was born July 14, 1940 in Fulton, Missouri, the daughter of the late Albert Lee and Ella Louise (Houf) Starkey. On May 11, 1982, she married Ricky Joe Moore in Fulton, Missouri. Joe survives of the home.
She is also survived by five sons, Lee Horine (Paula) of Millersburg, MO, Greg Horine of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Dick Starkey (Jahnae) of Williamsburg, MO, Hank Moore of Fulton, Jeff Moore of New Bloomfield; five daughters, Vicki King (Don) of New Bloomfield, MO, Jeanne Zelch (Dan) of Owensville, MO, Christine Goff (Jeff) of Fulton Charlene Bell (Chuck) of Kissimee, FL., Mary Ann Moore of Neoga, Ill; twenty-one grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren;, one brother, Charles Starkey (Sandy) of Fulton and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Betty enjoyed reading, flower gardening, crafts and bird watching.
She worked as a press operator at Harbison Walker and AP Green. She also worked at the Shoe Factory and as a cook at Fulton State Hospital from which she retired in 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson and Youth Pastor Justin Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
