Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fulton.
Bud was born on May 28, 1943 in Excelsior Springs, Missouri to the late Bert and Marjory Peters Shubert, Jr. He was married in San Bernardino, California on July 1, 1989 to Carol Perkins and they were later married in St. Peters Catholic Church on November 11, 2011.
Bud grew up and attended school in the Excelsior Springs and Liberty, Missouri area and later attended the University of Missouri where he received his Associates Degree in Psychology.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a part of the very first staff to work at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri and he worked there for twenty years. He then worked for MO Fab Bridge Company in Millersburg until his retirement.
Bud was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and V.F.W. Post 2657 in Fulton. He used to drive race cars and he enjoyed listening to music and dancing but his greatest love was riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Carol of Fulton; daughter, Natalie Kay Erickson of Apple Valley, California; step-son, Scott (Jennifer) Harmon of Greensbriar, Arkansas; sister, Sandra Kay Backs of Lenexa, Kansas; seven grandchildren and his special friend, Keith Smith of Kansas City, Missouri.
