Michael you were a very special and always helping people when they need help. You will be missed but we will go on. 

I am very sad to lose my good friend so soon, and sad to miss the chance to spend more time with him and Kathleen on double dates, but so grateful to have had the opportunity to know him and benefit from his love and friendship. My prayers are for his family, and I look forward to seeing him again in the future.

Michael, was always fun to be around. While in the LTM, he would scold me for not always speaking Spanish. He said we were to live our language. I then had to remind him that I was half Spanish and I lived both of my languages. He still did not like it. I tried many times sending him email messages from where I could find them but never did hear back from him. Would have loved to stop by and visit, once in awhile. I am in Ventura so it was not too far away. My love to the family. I know he will be missed. 

Michael was a great missionary.  I loved serving with him so many years ago.  I am happy to see that he lived a great life, and leaves a wonderful legacy.  We will meet again, Michael!

July 15 2018 Corona stake building I am still a priest. I blessed the bread for the sacrament.my cousins are here! Mike is going to ordain me to the office of Elder in the Priesthood of Melchizedek! Heavenly Father held this blessing in reserve for Him! I was Honored..I am Grateful, HE BLESSED ME!! Thank you!

Thank you Mike!! You have Blessed us all with your firm foundation of Faith and Service to The Kingdom of God,The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints... We Are Gratful..You loved us All Unconditionally!! You Honored your Priesthood and Glorified our Heavenly Father and our Eldest Brother! Who's Prirsthood we Hold! He is our High Priest!

On July 18 2018 I was honored to have my Cousin Mike have His Hands on my Head to ordain me an Elder in the Priesthood of Melchizedek. I know that our Heavenly Father held this blessing in reserve for me to be conferd by Michael Charles Rowland, a Worthy Man, who Honored our Heavenly Father in his office of HIGH PRIEST IN HIS SON'S CHURCH!  I held such high admiration for my Cousins Mike and Jerry who, when we were all just young boys,were ordained to the Priesthood,and honored our Pioneer Ancestry of building the Kingdom of God,The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! He is at work in his Priesthood office! Thank you Mike! You are the Man you are because your Mother,my Dear Aunt Katie's love for our families heritage was sustained by you! Your posterity will now carry on our Heritage! You Blessed all of us!!!

Brother Micheal Rowland will be greatly missed by myself and all others who had the great pleasure to know him. His lessons at Sunday School and Elders Quorum helped me discover and understand better Jesus's teachings. He had a charismatic way of talking and getting his points across and was always so friendly. . I am so grateful to have him as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and my Ward. Yes, I am sad but it gives me comfort to know he will be there in Heaven to greet me back home when that time comes. 

We want you to know how very sorry we are to hear of Michael's passing.  Although we weren't able to get together often, you are both two of our favorite people!  We know Michael was devoted to you Kathleen, and to your entire, wonderful family.  We so loved catching up with you both when we would meet for dinner and visits.  He was such a thoughtful, fun-loving, intelligent, bright man!  We've saved all your Christmas cards and letters from years ago, as they were by far the most amusing and humorous cards we have ever received!  What a clever guy he was!  Your strong faith in the great plan of our Father in Heaven is evidenced in the way you and Michael lived your lives.  We pray you and your sweet family will be comforted by that faith, and feel all our good thoughts and prayers with you at this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about this! We love visiting Fullerton (like our 2nd home) and seeing Mikes cheery face and having him welcome us, and hearing his wonderful Sunday School lessons. He will be missed. Condolences to all the family.

Mike and I were members of Gardena High School Madrigals. Both basses, and shared funny moments while rehearsing. There were many fond memories shared during those days. Also we were teammates on the Gardena High Junior Varsity Baseball team. I reconnected with Mike while through Facebook, his Mother-in Law was an English Teacher at West High and had taught my three children. It was enlightening to reconnect and reminisce about those days. My deep condolences to Mikes wife and family on your loss. May the Lord bring you comfort in your grief. sincerely, Mitchell B. Dear Kathleen and Family,    It was a few life times ago that we were in Fullerton with you, and we have such fond memories of that time and place.  You and Michael were such a great couple and it was fun watching our kiddos when they were little in Primary.  Ian remembers working with Mike in the Elders Quorum and enjoying that relationship.
