Eileen Inay Simon of Yorba Linda died on March 1, 2018. Eileen was born on a Navy base in Alameda, California on August 14, 1968. She was raised in Chino and lived in Yorba Linda, California since 1995. Eileen attended Don Lugo High School in Chino and was a proud graduate of Cal Poly Pomona with a bachelor degree in Human Resources Management. Eileen is survived by her husband, John, her mother, Flordeliza, her sister and brother-in-law DeAnna and Steve Prescott, and four nephews. Eileen was particularly proud of her four nephews Stephen, Austin, Owen and Evan. Eileen took it upon herself to instill a strong sense of faith, work ethic, and education into her nephews. Eileen retired as a Senior Vice President in Human Resources from Bank of America in 2013 after 22 years. In June of 2013, Eileen joined the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim where she served as the Director of Human Resources. Eileen is perhaps best known for two incredible characteristics: 1) generosity and 2) dedication to her career. Eileen was extremely generous to her family, friends and those in need. In addition, Eileen truly loved and considered her collogues at Bank of America and the Disney Company her family and loved ones. As one of Eileen’s colleagues put it so eloquently, “Eileen put the human back in human resources.” She will be missed by all of those she touched. Eileen was an active member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Yorba Linda where she served as a lector/reader at the 7:15 am Sunday mass. Eileen was also a member of Cal Poly Pomona’s school of business alumni association. A rosary will be held on Monday, March 12 at 7:30 pm at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Yorba Linda. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Martin de Porres. Burial will follow reception at Holy Sepulcher in Orange, California.
