Eileen Virginia Collins

Eileen V. Collins was born 12/23/1924 in Winchester, Indiana to William A. and Marie Forrest Ketron. She graduated from Winchester High School in 1943. Eileen’s younger sister, Helen D. Longnecker preceded her in death in 2013. Eileen married her husband David Clifford Collins on August 12, 1944 and they were blessed with 68 years of marriage until David’s passing in August, 2012. They moved to California in 1960 and she has resided in Yorba Linda since 1977. Eileen worked as a bookkeeper for over 50 years, working at Anaheim Memorial Hospital and then Star D Ironworks until her retirement. She is survived by her three adult children, Sharon (James) McKay, Marcia Hammond and David W. Collins, her nine grandchildren, Kimber Hammond, Jeffrey (Staci) Hammond, Michael Hammond, Leandra Hammond, Grigg (Nadine) Collins, Sherrie Anne (Ken) Dearing, Crystal Collins, Alicia (David) Root, Alyson (Michael) Dixon and 14 great grandchildren. She was best known by many as “Grandma” wherever she went and the many afghans she made for friends, missionaries and many others.Services to be held on January 8, 2022 at the Latter-Day Saints Church, Ohio Street, Yorba Linda, California.Burial at Loma Vista Memorial Park Cemetery, Fullerton California.
