Beveraly Marie Berve

Our beloved Mother Beveraly (Bev) Marie Rubar Berve of Yorba Linda, passed away on May 30, 2024, after a long illness. She was 92 years old. Beveraly was raised in upstate New York and was one of ten children. She lived most of her life in California except for eight years in Washington state. Bev first came to California in 1951 to Palm Springs for adventure and to escape the snow of New York. She managed an Orange Julius for several years and met some of the movie stars of the day. She worked hard but also had great times with friends and met her future husband, Richard. Bev and Richard raised two children in San Diego, moved to Washington and eventually made it back to California. She owned her own cleaning business for 40 years and had many long-time loyal customers. Bev was also an avid doll collector. Beveraly’s husband Richard preceded her in death. She is survived by two children; son Kane Berve (Yorba Linda), daughter Drusilla Mercer (Washington), son-in-law Richard Mercer and grandson Chad Mercer (Oregon). She is also survived by two sisters Doris Myles (South Carolina) and Joan Santora (Virginia), one brother Walter Rubar (New York) and numerous nieces and nephews. Beveraly was vivacious and known by her family and friends for her joyous laugh. She will be missed by all. Private ceremony at this time.
