Barbara Jean “Penny” Reynolds passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 12, 2018. She was born in Florida on November 17, 1929 to Cille and William Pennington. She graduated from Bradenton High School and later from Capital School of Nursing in Washington, DC as a Registered Nurse in 1951. In that same year she married John Reynolds and shortly afterward they moved to Southern California. In 1955 she gave birth to their only child, Michael. Penny was an alumnus of Cal State Fullerton, Woman of Distinction, and honor roll member, graduating in 1970. She later went to work as a library clerk in Placentia, and as an accounting clerk with the State of California in surplus sales. She retired from the State in 1992. Numerous travels abroad followed: Mexico, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland and many others, but her favorite place was her mountain cabin where she could indulge her passion for reading and rooting for the Lakers. Penny is survived by her husband of 67 years, John F. Reynolds, her son Michael J. Reynolds (Jeanne), grandchildren Matthew (Gabriela), and Kathryn and great grandson, Seamus. She will be missed by all. Services will be private and are pending.
