Al Meyer passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at the age of 86 in Fullerton after a brief illness. Born on August 29, 1938, he spent his life dedicated to his family and career as a successful salesman. Al was known for his beautiful blue eyes and kind demeanor, always greeting loved ones with a kiss on the forehead and a heartfelt “I love you.” His positive outlook and genuine warmth touched all who knew him. An only child, he considered his family his greatest legacy, taking immense pride and joy in their accomplishments and wellbeing. In addition to his successful career, Al was an avid bowler who made many friends through his hobby. His social circle was wide and full of people who appreciated his cheerful and loving nature.
He leaves behind his wife Susan of 65 years; his son Stephen Meyer and his wife Karen; daughters, Allison Ersek and husband Mark; Melissa Dias and husband Jerry. Al was also a cherished grandfather to Austin Meyer and wife Olivia; Casey Meyer; Matthew Ersek and wife Katie; Holly Loftus and husband Mark; Logan Meyer and partner Matt; Mitchell Ersek and wife Diana; Amy Johnson and husband Bryan; Lindsey Cannan and husband Mike; Jillian Reeves and husband Brad. His great-grandchildren, Wesley Meyer, Audrey Loftus, Luke Johnson and Rory Ersek and many many friends will hold dear memories of him.
A memorial of Al’s life will be held on December 11, 2024 at 11:00 am at Fullerton Free Church, located at 2801 Brea Blvd, Fullerton, CA 92835. His life’s story is a testament to the love and kindness he spread to all corners of his world, and he will be deeply missed.
