Jim was born and raised in Jamestown, NY. Jim joined the United States Air Force in 1963 and served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. After his service in the Air Force, Jim began his forty-year career with Xerox. Jim was a devoted Christian and belonged to the Shriners and Masons.
Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol (McGill) Slagle; his children, Janet (Gerard) Place, Jennifer (Scott) Payne, James (Liz) Slagle; and his grandchildren, Shawn, Ashlynn, Michael, and Kailee. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A 1:00 PM Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at the Littleton United Methodist Church located at 5894 S Datura Street, Littleton, CO 80120 on Friday, October 28, 2022.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Jim, the family asks that donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s organization (alz.org/donate) and that we all practice random acts of kindness.
