On March 18, 1967, she married Merlin Reeves in Des Moines, IA. They moved to Colorado in 1986.
Karen worked as a security guard for many years. She enjoyed painting, art, crocheting and traveling. Karen was known to her family as the peacemaker and counselor. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Lisa.
She is survived by her husband, Merlin, three children; Donny Reeves, Kim Reeves and Beth Ann Reeves, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren (and two more on the way) and two siblings, Jerry and Jeanie.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday February 22, 2016 from 9 – 11 am. Services will be at Emmanuel Baptist Church at noon.
