Gordon D. Lewis passed, peacefully at his home north of Fort Collins, at the age of 96, on July 13, 2018. The World War II Army Calvary Veteran is survived by his loving wife of 66 years June Donna, their 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many friends and a sprinkling of relatives across the country.
Gordon was born July 12, 1922 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His youth was on a farm and having survive the depression he valued and enjoyed his gardens and fruit trees, continuing this passion after their move to Colorado in 1967.
He also loved and respected the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, fishing and hunting. He, mom, family and friends enjoyed their mountain cabin as often as possible.
17 of his 32 years with the post office were spent on the railway post office, fostering I love trains and railroads.
Omnipresent was a small engine repair business that continued well into his 80s.
He had a passion for life and serving others which endeared him to all who met him. Although small in physical stature, he left a large legacy of service to others.
