George Christopher Lee, Jr.

George and Ruth were married June 19,1976 in Hartford, OH and together had four children: Matthew, Aaron, Mary, and Jesse. As a lover of the outdoors and wide open spaces, he moved to Laramie, WY shortly afterwards where he remained for most of his life. George worked as a pipefitter, welder, and ranch hand. In the final years of his career, George had many adventures working on the Alaskan oil pipeline, surrounded by amazing scenery and wildlife.

George enjoyed many outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, mountain climbing, dirt biking, photography, archery, and target shooting - which his children also grew to love. He continued these activities after retiring in 2020 and also took up cross country skiing. He was an avid moviegoer and especially enjoyed "Top Gun: Maverick". His greatest joy later in life was spending time with his grandson, Wyatt. George loved God and looked forward to eternal life with his Savior.

George succumbed to a sudden unexpected illness on October 13, 2022 in Fort Collins, CO. He passed away peacefully after spending a great deal of time with family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce; son, Aaron; in-laws, Miland and Katherine Ahola Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; his father, George C. Lee, Sr. of Vernon, OH; aunts, Nancy Herring, Mary Jen Mullen, Frances Russell, Sandra Double and Lucienne Lee; uncle, Harry Lee; brothers, Neal (Peggy) of Vernon, OH, Brian (Connie) of Midland, TX, and Dan (Kendra) of Warren, OH; sons, Matthew (Elizabeth) of Fort Collins, CO and Jesse of Laramie, WY; daughter, Mary and grandson Wyatt Lee Porter of Laramie, WY; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

A Celebration of Life is planned for October 28th at Good Intentions Market & Cafe, 6635 State Route 87 in Kinsman, OH. Friends and family are welcome starting at 4:00 PM EDT.
