Bill was a uniquely interesting man. He had many interests and hobbies including his involvements in local theater, the music industry, and his love of outdoors and nature while hiking, camping, and biking. He was a collector of anything unusual, and loved sharing his vast, uncanny knowledge of his most loved possessions and discoveries. Bill had the best sense of humor, loved to tease, and loved to write. He was published on more than one occasion. He was also an accomplished photographer. No amount of technology scared him. He evolved from reel to reel tape all the way to the digital world, not missing a beat, as it became more and more sophisticated. Bill avidly loved his pet kitties. Through the years, they all held a special place in his heart. With all these gifts and talents, the most important thing to him was his family and his love of God. His whole existence was to share his faith in which he passionately believed and genuinely lived.
Bill retired from CSU where he worked in Educational Media, and had a degree in civil engineering. At the same time, he was a radio announcer at a local radio station, KCOL.
Bill married Phyllis Gieseke on August 19, 1951 and they had 68 years together before his passing.
Together they raised 3 children: Robin, (deceased in 2012) married Jerry Feeley, Kevin is married to Denise Kechter, and Starr Hudson.
Bill and his surviving wife have 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
We will honor Bill with a graveside memorial service at Resthaven Memory Gardens on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 11:00 am.
