It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Yutang Tom Chen on the morning of June 17, 2024, after a courageous battle with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma. He was 70 years old.
Yutang was born on January 2, 1954, in Taipei, Taiwan, and was a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Yuanyuan, his two children, Calvin and Clifford, his daughter-in-law, Vanessa, and his grandchildren, Zoey and Toby.
Yutang lived a life filled with love, generosity, and unwavering strength. He was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and his ability to light up any room with his warm smile. His dedication to his family and friends was evident in all aspects of his life, and his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
He had a passion for basketball and football, and his enthusiasm and dedication were an inspiration to all. Yutang approached everything with the same fervor and commitment that characterized his life.
His battle with cancer was fought with remarkable bravery and grace, despite years of kidney dialysis, never allowing the illness to dampen his spirit or love for life. Yutang remained a beacon of strength and positivity, providing comfort and encouragement to those around him, even in his toughest moments.
Yutang's legacy of love, kindness, and courage will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will always be a guiding light for those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest in peace, Yutang. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
