Philip A. Rearick, 73, of Frisco, TX, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Born on September 11, 1950, on Long Island, NY, he was the beloved son of Josephine (Langdon) and Philip Rearick.
Philip graduated from Saint John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, and went on to become the president of Special Insurance Services (SIS). A trailblazer in the insurance industry, Philip was the visionary behind non-subscription coverage and was esteemed as one of the leading authorities on accident and health insurance plans. He was deeply committed to educating agents and brokers, often sharing his expertise as a guest speaker at conferences and association meetings nationwide.
Beyond his professional achievements, Philip cherished his time with family, enjoyed golfing, boating, watching the Dallas Stars, and relaxing with a good cigar. Known for his generosity and saint-like patience, he made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Philip is preceded in death by his older brother, John Rearick (2022). He leaves behind his devoted wife of 50 years, Eileen (Lenihan) Rearick; his daughter, Jennifer Rearick Gates, and her husband, David Gates; his eagerly anticipated granddaughter, due in December 2024; and his older sister, Joellen Kessler.
A celebration of Philip's life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033.
