Bless The Lord, Oh My Soul,
Worship his holy name.
Bless The Lord... who surrounds you with love and compassion and satisfies your desires with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagles.
Psalm 103:1, 4,5.
Mary Elizabeth McNulty, 88 years young, left this world peacefully on September 2nd, 2014, surrounded by family members, quiet music, gentle laughter, and the physical touch of her family. She most recently resided in Frisco, Texas. Prior to that Mom lived in New York City, New York; Baltimore, Maryland; Orlando, Florida; Tampa, Florida; and Arlington, Texas.
Preceding her in death was her husband of more than fifty-six years Hugh McNulty, our youngest sister Gina McNulty, our oldest brother, Mike McNulty and our youngest brother Francis McNulty.
Mom is survived by son John McNulty and wife Sally of Keller, Texas, son Jim McNulty and wife Dora of Tampa, Florida, son Kevin McNulty and wife Jenny Schaefer of Baltimore, Maryland, daughter Beth McNulty and husband Dr. Ernie Rhamstine of Canton, Texas, daughter Helen McNulty Wiederkehr of Frisco, Texas, and daughter Mary Ann Crantz and husband Peter of Arlington Texas.
Seventeen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren also survive mom. Representing the grandchildren, Mom was recently gifted with the presence of granddaughter Jeanette Stormes with husband Dan and their wonderful golden retriever, Paris, who lay quietly next to our smiling Mom as she stroked her soft face. Great-grandsons James and Tyler honored Mom with their presence as well, representing the great-grandchildren.
At Mom’s request, she will be buried with our Dad at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida sometime in the Fall. Efforts for this celebration will be coordinated with the Funeral home and daughter Beth McNulty. Information will be shared via Beth when the date and time is established.
Donations can be made in Mom’s name to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School, 4001 Edgewater Drive in Orlando, Florida. 32804. Mom and Dad were founding members of the parish, and all eight children attended the school. Mom was a firm believer in education and was an avid reader. The school has limited library resources, so honoring Mom with a donation specifically to the library would surely please her.
