Soon after graduation, they became parents to their daughter, Vanessa Priscilla Ochoa. They were married August 6, 1991. They cherished their family and love for 34 years.
Joseph emulated his mother’s work ethic, commitment to family and dedicated 100% in everything he did!
As a young dad, he strived to give his family the greatest life possible. He worked at the Los Angeles County Marshal’s Office and The Home Depot. He learned the value of sacrifice, hard work and found success in his life.
Joseph found his love of running in 1990. He committed himself to training and inspired himself to accomplish 3 Los Angeles Marathons. Running became part of him. He loved moving and pushing his body to greater heights! They say, “runners are a different breed.” Friends of Joe would agree, “he is different breed!”
One of Joseph’s major accomplishments in life was his success, as a C3 manager at Interface Security Systems. There he worked with his buddy, Tyson Johns. He trusted and admired Tyson with the utmost respect. Over the years, he made memorable relationships. He loved to give his advice and share his knowledge of how to get things done! He valued and respected his fellow managers and leads. Interface was a huge part of his daily life. He never stopped thinking of work and made sure everyone was ok! He loved his Sunday morning wake up calls from Bobbie to get his day started.
In October of 2020, Joseph’s dream came true when The Los Angeles Dodgers won the MLB World Series! Joe had faith in his team and knew it was their year to take home the win to LA. He shared his love for his team by making sure he got great seats for the World Series at Globe Life Field. He, Yvonne and AJ shared his passion and cheered with him!
One of Joseph’s greatest gifts was getting to know and love his grandson, Myles and granddaughter, Audrey. He was called, Papa by Myles. Myles loved making his Papa laugh at silly things like dancing, playing and walking out of the closet wearing Papa’s red Vans. Joe would give Myles the world!
Joseph loved traveling and seeing new places with his friends and family. He enjoyed his visits back to California by spending time with Pat and his cousins.
Joseph will be dearly missed by so many. He left us a legacy of love and respect.
