José Javier Díaz de León jr., age 48 of Frisco Texas passed away on Monday December 5, 2022, at his residence in Frisco, Texas. Jose was born April 20, 1974, in El Paso, Texas to José Javier Díaz de León and Rebecca Pérez.
His love for his wife and daughter was very evident to everyone that knew him. He never missed a day to demonstrate his love to them. There was always a text message, phone call, or voicemail of him either being silly, singing them a song, or telling them how much he loved and missed them. He looked forward to spending time with them every day after work. Always ready to hug them and listen to how their day went. Every weekday evening was wrapped up with dinner as a family and deciding which one of their favorite shows they’d watch.
Jose had so many interests and was a big kid at heart. We all knew when he’d approach the driveway as he was always jamming to his music, mainly 80’s music, full blast with some bass. Jose loved cars, working on them, driving them, and admiring them. He also loved the golf course; it was his happy place. He enjoyed playing golf with his daughter and his hope was she’d share the same passion for the game. Jose proudly almost always wore a Dallas Cowboys cap and he’d never miss a game. A Cowboys loss would really upset him to the point he would sometimes temporarily take his Cowboys cap off and put on a San Antonio Spurs cap instead. Another one of his interests was watching movies. Some of his favorites were Star Wars, Marvel, and Transformers. He enjoyed movies in the theater or at home. One thing was for sure, movies always had to be in HD, full blast, with great surround sound.
Jose was incredibly smart, had a quick-witted sense of humor, a great smile, and an infectious laugh. It didn’t take long after meeting Jose to know he was a beautiful soul, with a big heart who loved hard. His faith was strong, he always put God before anything, then came his daughter and wife.
Jose is survived by the love of his life, Veronica Díaz de León, their 13-year-old precious daughter Sophia Díaz de León, his mother Rebecca Perez, his father José Javier Díaz de León, his stepmother Nancy Díaz de Leon, his siblings, Adam Díaz de León, Dulce Moody, Danny Díaz de León, Rebecca Perez, and Faith Perez.
A celebration of life memorial service for Jose will be held Thursday December 15, 2022, at 5:00 PM at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033.
