A celebration of life honoring Araceli “Sally or Celi” Lara will take place on Tuesday, January 9th from 10 – 1 pm at the Stonebriar Funeral Home, Frisco, TX 75033. Family and friends are invited to arrive at 10 am for the viewing followed by the celebration beginning at 11 am. We encourage you to please share this message with friends of Araceli.
She was married to John Raymond Lara on September 9th, 1989 in San Marcos, TX. Married for 34 years, Araceli served as a Navy wife for 24 years while raising 3 boys, obtaining her degree from Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, and starting her career in childhood education.
Araceli was a member of Hope Fellowship Church as a childcare volunteer, a women’s small group leader, and a teacher at Bright Beginnings Preschool for many years. She was passionate about her faith, her family, animals, being a sports mom, knitting, and dancing.
Araceli is preceded in death by her father, Adan Ramirez, she is survived by her sons, John Raymond Lara Jr., (Mariana Garcia Lara), Alejandro Isaiah Lara (Analiese Boullion), and Cristian Andres Lara as well as her brother Dagoberto Ramirez, her sisters Alejandra Jackson, Nadia Ramirez, Margarita Balderas, and her mother, Margarita Ramirez.
Araceli was a caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She led a remarkable life defined by compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family. As a teacher, a leader, and friend, those who knew her knew they were loved and will remember her through memories of laughter and joy.
