Stanley C. Reed

Our beloved Stanley was born in Fresno, California on January 18, 1929, to Clifford and Esther Reed. He attended Washington Union High School and Fresno State University, and was employed for four years as a dairyman and a teacher at Bullard Elementary School. Stanley left the teaching profession to work as a hay and grain broker. Stanley's hobbies included flying airplanes, raising pigeons, playing golf, and fishing with his boys.

Stanley will be remembered for his loyalty, perseverance and sense of humor.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Maryalyce Blanton.

Stanley is survived by Helen Reed his wife of 59 years; his children Jayne Reed, James Reed and his wife Jacqueline, and John Reed; grandchildren Sarah and Sean Hend- ricks, James Reed Jr., and Julitta and Manuel Gonzalez; and great-grandchildren, Colin and Caleb Hendricks and Alexis, Isaac and Aiden Gonzalez.

Viewing will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Thursday, April 7, 2011, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Memorial Service will be held at Fresno First Baptist Church on Friday, April 8, 2011, at 11:30 a.m.
