Seta, parents and siblings, relocated from New Britain CN to Fresno California, where she resided until marriage. Seta graduated as class Salutatorian from Fresno High School and completed two years of college prior to marriage. Little did she know at 16 years, she would meet the love of her life, KK Cholakian, a young farmer from Dinuba, California. At 19, she and KK were married and started their life in Dinuba. Several years later, their daughter Leslie was born and two years later, son Kevin arrived.
For career opportunity reasons, the family relocated to Fresno in the late 60's. Eventually, KK and Seta returned to their ranch and newly built home in Dinuba in 1984.
Seta was an exceptional homemaker with superior skills in cooking and sewing. In the early days she sewed for her family. Later in life she designed and sewed the four flower girl dresses her granddaughter Natalie wore to family and friends' weddings.
In her lifetime, Seta was a small business owner (Dinuba), entrepreneur, real estate agent, and department store manager. She and KK enjoyed travel to Europe, the Middle East and the Central Coast. Seta joined the Ani Guild of the California Armenian Home in 1977 and served as its President from 1986-1987. The California Armenian Home was dear to her and her family and was her last stop on this earth. Seta was also a member of St. Paul’s Armenian Church in Fresno.
When KK was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in the early 90's she became his caregiver and devout advocate until his passing in 2002.
For the past 12 years Seta has been a beloved resident of FairWinds-Woodward Park until her passing.
Seta is preceded in death by her parents, Mathew and Agnes Mooradian, husband KK Cholakian, and brother Paul H. Mooradian. She is survived by her children, Leslie (Tim) Niswander and Kevin Cholakian; she was Noni to her cherished grandchildren, Natalie (Rafa) Gutierrez, Matthew Niswander, Kyle and Ava Cholakian as well as her sister in law Jane Mooradian and sister, Ann Hovsepian. Her recent joy (2016-2019) was the births of her Great Grandchildren, Nairi Valentina Gutierrez and twin brothers Rhys Timothy and Roman Jorge Gutierrez. She also leaves her beloved nieces and nephews with whom she had special relationships with as well.
A private gravesite service will be performed in the near future.
